Hometown Make-Over

Orem, Utah is finally making improvements. Wanting a downtown that rivals neigboring Provo, the town of Orem has taken huge steps. At the Center St. and State St. intersection sits a brand new Check City. That's right. "Downtown" Orem now has a Public Library, Public Works, a courthouse, a McDonald's, a Burger King, two grocery stores, two video stores and, FINALLY, a Check City. (Actually there was already a Check City across the street but I guess it wasn't nice enough. As if people care where they go to borrow against their future paychecks.) Welcome to Orem, people of the world. Our city center, crowded with gawdy towering signs and flawlessly new Check City, will force you to stand, gazing in awe. Get those cameras ready.
